Stuttgart/Brussels, 27.03.2024: The AV technology experts at WEAVE have been awarded a major new contract by the European Parliament. Both parties signed the exclusive framework agreement for consulting, design and project management for AV, IT and conference solutions and audiovisual installations on March 15th. Over a period of four years and a contract volume of up to nine million euros, the European Parliament and associated institutions will be able to utilize the services of the independent consortium.
Winning the contract is the next major success for WEAVE at European level. The largest independent group of companies for AV and IT consulting, design and project management is thus consolidating its unique position on the market and opening the potential for many new international projects. The European Parliament now has a team of over 100 technology professionals from all over Europe at its disposal.
The framework agreement offers a standardized procedure for all AV and IT projects of the associated organizations and regulates all related aspects and conditions. Access via a central contact point provides planning security and reduces the administrative work involved in implementing individual projects.
WEAVE fulfils demanding tender criteria
WEAVE had previously won the public international tender organized by the European Parliament. In extensive documentation, WEAVE successfully demonstrated the efficiency of the experienced team and its suitability for the contract based on a wide range of aspects.
These included company structure, staffing, references, innovation capability, legal issues, ESG topics and the creation of a case study for a sample project. A particular challenge was the detailed complexity of the requirements and the coordination of all parties involved from various locations and companies.
The European Union and WEAVE continue successful European cooperation
With the framework agreement concluded, the European Parliament and WEAVE are continuing their successful European cooperation. WEAVE has been a contractual partner for the European Commission and contact point for Audio Visual & Conference services for various EU institutions, including the European Parliament, since the beginning of 2022.
As part of this ongoing framework contract, WEAVE has already successfully implemented over 55 projects for the EU, running another 25 projects and is working on many more requests from different member states. The experience gained will be directly incorporated into future projects to guarantee the best possible results.
