Industry expert sets further course for brand development
Oliver Mack (47) has been appointed a director at macom effective 1 February 2017. He joins founder Björn Jensen in steering the Stuttgart-based consulting and engineering services company, where he will share responsibility for moving the company and the macom brand forward.
Mack’s main responsibilities will include overseeing business development, marketing, sales, consulting and the macomLAB. In addition to core activities related to expert technical media planning he will expand strategic consulting relating to collaborative solutions, new working environments, digital solutions and interactive brand presentation. The aim is to develop the macom brand away from being just a provider of engineering services to become an engineering and technology consulting house on both a strategic and operative level.
“Thanks to his vast market and industry experience, Oliver Mack is ahead of the game when it comes to spotting market developments and he knows how to set the right course for our company. I look forward to steering the company together with him in the future,” states Björn Jensen, CEO and one of the founders of macom GmbH.
“macom has a unique image in the European AV market thanks to an interdisciplinary team of more than 50 industry specialists in both engineering and consulting. We’ve strengthened this image with our media technology lab, the macomLAB. Overall, this also puts us on a proactive footing not just when it comes to current and future developments in the AV market but also in meeting the challenges our customers face as part of digital transformation,” states Mack.
Mack has been a member of macom management since September 2014 with responsibility for business development. In this role, he introduced key account management for selected customers and laid important foundations for the macom brand in terms of brand development. Mack offers many years of interdisciplinary know-how in technology management, consulting, project sales and key account sales in IT and AV markets. Stops along his career path include the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO), the IT services provider GFT Technologies, the AV systems integrator ICT and the display manufacturer eyevis.
