In Wuppertal, construction work has begun on the new headquarters of the Wuppertaler Stadtwerke. A new and modern office and administration building is to be built there by 2021. The new administrative building will have a gross floor area of over 13,000 sqm and will offer space for around 450 employees with office spaces, conference rooms and a canteen. The office spaces will be designed as open-space areas. The spatial concept envisages an open working landscape that promotes communication. The aim is to promote dialogue and the exchange of knowledge among employees, thus creating a lively and interactive relationship. This is to be supported by flexible and modern IT and AV technology.
The macom engineers were commissioned with the technical planning of the entire AV technology. They will accompany the project through all phases of the HOAI up to site supervision during construction. Previously, the macom engineers had created a business case as a basis for decision-making on the AV technology used.
